Ogni corpo possiede una luce da emanare , l’albedo risiede in ognuno di noi.
Albedo 01 nasce da un’idea della stilista siciliana Silvia Caccamo e dal suo studio su luce e colori. L’albedo è il potere riflettente di un corpo e più profondamente la sua capacità di riflettere , in tutte le direzioni, la luce indicente su di esso .
Lo 0 e l’1 corrispondono rispettivamente alla capacità minima e massima di riflessione : il colore nero ha albedo 0, il colore bianco ha albedo 1 , ovvero la massima albedo.
È da questo che si esprime il messaggio del brand, l’intenzione di sperimentare una combinazione di colori, luci e tessuti , questi ultimi a volte lucidi e riflettenti , a volte contrastanti in un tutto armonico, senza tralasciare mai le tendenze attuali e l’attenzione alle ispirazioni dettate dalla contemporaneità in termini storici, sociali e culturali.
Per non dimenticare le origini, l’albedo che e’ bianchezza nella sua definizione, porta con sè anche l’origine siciliana del brand : l’albedo è lo strato interno bianco della buccia degli agrumi .
Ogni capo è prodotto in Italia con tessuti italiani e con la cura per i dettagli, la qualità e la manifattura che contraddistinguono il Made in Italy.
Note biografiche
Silvia Caccamo nasce a Palermo nel 1989. A 18 anni si iscrive all'Istituto Marangoni di Milano dove nel 2010 si laurea in Fashion Design.
Dopo l'università, ha frequentato l'Istituto Europeo di Design di Milano dove è diventata una trend forecaster. Da allora ha maturato un'ampia esperienza lavorativa, ispirandosi alla contemporaneità e alla sua passione per ogni forma d'arte come la moda, la musica e la pittura.
Nel 2019 lancia il suo nuovo marchio Albedo 01

Each body owns a light of its own. Albedo lies in everyone of us.
Albedo 01 originates from an idea of Sicilian Fashion Designer Silvia Caccamo and
from her research on lights and colours.
Albedo is the ability each body has to reflect a light in all directions and the light hitting
it in a unique way.
Zero and 1 express respectively the Lowest and the Highest reflecting power: black
has zero albedo, while white has albedo 1 which is the highest value.
This is exactly what the brand wants to communicate: its aim is to experiment a
combination of colours, lights and fabrics which can be sometimes sheen and
shining and some other times harmoniously contrasting. We always keep an eye on
current trends and pay attention to contemporary issues, in terms of history, society
and culture.
Not to forget its origins, Albedo which is whiteness by definition, also includes the
Sicilian origin of the brand as albedo is the white inner layer of citrus fruits' peel
Every item of clothing is produced in Italy with the highest attention to detail, quality
and manufacture, elements which make Italian fashion renowned all over the world.
A SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Silvia Caccamo was born in Palermo in 1989. At the age of 18, she went to Marangoni Institute in Milan where in 2010 she took a degree in Fashion Design.
After university, she attended the European Institute of Design in Milan where she became a trend forecaster. Since then she has gained a wide working experience, taking inspiration from the contemporary world and her passion for any form of art like fashion, music and painting.
In 2019 she is launching her new brand, Albedo 01.
